News Graffitti Abatement

 Update

We completed the paintjob tonight, and the home owner and her son were pleased and appreciative.  The graffiti was from a southern California gang who apparently wanted to say "Hi" to the neighborhood.  It's good to get rid of this stuff as soon as possible.  There has been an ongoing problem at this spot with uninvited folks hanging out there as it is somewhat isolated and near friends across the street.  There has been loud music, car repair and even a BBQ at this spot.  So it's something the neighbors should pay attention to, and let the city know what'soiong on there.

Among the painters we had:

Laurette (who also brought snacks) and a friend.

Donna

Ron

Myself and my niece Austin

Don (?) the lady's son.

Thank you Ron for organizing this project. Smile

 Hello,

On Monday, August the 20th at 5:00,there will be a fence painting party at 1478 66th Ave.

The fence was marred with graffiti a few weeks ago and needs to be cleaned up for the owner.  Ron has done a good job with getting the paint - supplied for free from the City of Sacramento's Graffiti Abatement Program - and some volunteers organized to help.
